Your first meeting in Notera

Notera brings recording, transcription, meeting organization, AI reports and document export into one workspace. You can start with a microphone recording or an existing audio/video file.

Choose your workspace

Mac offers room for transcript editing, report refinement, chapter selection and PDF preview, plus microphone and system-audio capture.

iPhone makes it easy to record away from your desk. Open a meeting and switch between Transcript and AI Results in the focused interface.

iPad adapts to its window: use side-by-side transcript/report reading and adjustable columns when space allows.

Enable iCloud meeting sync on each device using the same iCloud account, then record on iPhone and continue editing or exporting PDF on Mac. Meetings and audio transfer separately; wait for uploads before expecting playback on another device. Set up iCloud and follow a cross-device workflow.

Prepare your workspace

  1. Open Settings and choose the application language. This changes interface labels; it does not automatically choose every transcription or report language.
  2. Under Speech Recognition, choose a transcription engine and language. Prepare any model that the settings page asks you to download.
  3. Allow microphone access when you start recording. Optional meeting location is configured separately.

The Mac app requires macOS 15 or later. New Capture records system audio and optionally the microphone. macOS asks for Screen & System Audio Recording permission for this mode. Desktop subtitle windows are a Mac capability.

Capture and review

Choose New Recording, speak, and then choose Stop. The saved meeting appears in the sidebar. Select it to review the transcript; playback, editing, comments and speaker tools are available in the meeting workspace. Initial model preparation can take time.

Produce something useful

Choose an AI prompt in the inspector after configuring a supported AI service. Review the resulting report and its source citations. For a portable document, export the report together with its transcript as a PDF. This keeps the report and its evidence in the same file.
